"All Lives Matter" and McIntosh

      "saying "all lives matter" as a direct response to "black lives matter" is essentially saying that we should just go back to ignoring the problem. "
      I chose this quote because it basically sums up the entire article. The article was talking about how the phrase "black lives matter" is not the same as "all lives matter" this is very true. By saying all lives matter  it is saying that there isn't a racism problem. When there still is even today. Some people like to ignore that there is one. For example like in the example given in the article Hilary Clinton. In her campaign she add the all live matter. Which she should have corrected her self and said black lives matter because that is something that she should want to help change.

          I chose this quote because it is a very true. for a guy to get ready and go out it will take him about 5 minutes. for a girl to go out and go shopping it will take her about 15 minutes. this is because girls have to do their hair and some girls like to do their make up. for guys they just have to put on clothes and leave. for a girl to get her hair done at a solon it will cost her around 20-40 dollars sometimes more. for a guy it will cost him 15-20 dollars.
        " 19. if my day,week or year is going badly i need not to ask of each negative episode or situation weather or not it has sexist overtones"
            this quote talks about how a man doesn't need to think about whether or not the situation he is in is based on his sex. for example If he is having a bad day he doesn't need to think about how weather or not its because he is male.

    True, but the phrase "all lives matter" erases the specific races and ethnicities of groups of people in the US who are oppressed.
