I chose this quote because it is a very true quote. When i was younger i know that children movies books and cartoons were all things that helped influence me. For example one cartoon that comes to mind that all children watch is Bernie. He is a purple dinosaur that teaches young children about manors and shearing ect. this is just one show out of the many that have an impact on children when they grow up. Every children story that you read or movie that they watch has some type of meaning behind it that helps influence kids into doing things. Just like Christensen explains in her writing.

I chose this quote because it says a lot. the first part of this short paragraph talked about a research study that was done. this was shocking and true at the same time. We don't realize the actual hidden meaning of these types of movies until we start to think about them. Like in Peter Pan their is a boy who helps a girl deify everything that she is told and encourages her brothers to go along with it. Or you notice that she the oldest girl is the one whom is supposed to take care of her younger brothers.These are just 2 things you see in this one movie. So these three year old are watching this and not realizing that this isn't how its supposed to be. that your given a choice to take care of your siblings. Or that its okay to rebel ageist your parents wishes.
"even in our preschool years we are exposed to misinformation about people and ourselves."
I chose this quote because I believe it is true. when teaching in a preschool you see that most of the books are based off white charterers. their are very few that have main charterers that are of a different race. Or you see that the poorer person is a peasant for their whole life. that,s not teaching them that if they put their minds to it they can do anything. its teaching them that only white people can be of higher power. Or only rich people can go places in life. when the truth is that if your dedicated to it then you can do it.
